The Dyke Golf Club is bordered by National Trust downland and actively managed farm land, so provides a haven for wildlife. It is located only 4 miles from the centre of Brighton, and is easily accessible by the A23 and the A27.
The course is known as one of the best downland courses in the region. There is vast importance placed on the ecological health and diversity of the course, and as a consequence, national and regional awards have been won in recognition of this.
The course at the Dyke Golf Club provides a first class test of golf and, as with most downland courses, the degree of ease or difficulty is very much dependent on the strength and direction of the wind. The attractive qualities of the course lay in the contrast of the long, hard-hitting holes on the western side of the ridge and the holes of a more adventurous type on the eastern side.
Excellent service and great prices can be found at The Golf Store. Expert advice on your game and equipment is supplied if needed. Tuition is available. Excellent merchandise can be purchased.
The Clubhouse at The Dyke Golf Club has a bar and a restaurant, located in a prime spot that overlooks the practice green and the first and tenth fairways, as well as views of the spectacular coastline. The bar is open to visitors as well as members, and disabled access is easy to all areas. The club boasts an excellent wine list, and a fully stocked bar. The dining room is tastefully decorated and furnished, and can seat up to 60 diners comfortably. There is excellent food at reasonable prices.
The Dyke Golf Club is home to excellent facilities and a beautiful course, and is ultimately a wonderful day out for golfing fans.
